Royal Tea, Talent Show, Street Dances and Praise in the Park A Hit for All
The 50th Old Settler’s Reunion began on Friday with a Royal Tea hosted by the NC Chamber of Commerce and current Royalty Tommy and Mary Lou Ward. The Tea was held in Lindbergh Park with members from ten of the past named royal couples of years past attending.
After the Royal Tea, a very successful Talent Show was presented with Steve and LaGina Evans winning. Many attendees were present for the afternoon event which was followed by the Ex-Students Reunion at 6:30.
Both Friday and Saturday nights a Rodeo was held and street dances. Friday night the Camille Sanders Band played and on Saturday night Artie V played. Folks that attended both had great things to say and the best music to dance and enjoy!
On Sunday, wrapping of a very busy weekend, the English Brothers performed at Praise in the Park with many locals and visitors attending. The praise and worship were a great way to end this year’s 50th Old Settler’s Reunion.
